We met in 2019 when Emma asked our mutual friend Nick if he had any amazing single friends he could set her up with and he introduced her to Jacob. The first time we spent time together was on October 18th, 2019, and we spent the whole night talking. There hasn't been a day since then that we haven't spoken. The pandemic that following spring brought us even closer as we quarantined together. We decided to take the next step moving in together in June of 2020. It amazed us both how natural it felt to always be together. Our little basement apartment was pretty dingy, but we had so much fun living with each other. In 2022 we got our fur baby Rue, becoming puppy parents taught us so much about each other and brought us even closer together. In September of 2023 we took another big step and bought our home in Bloomington. 

Finally on January 27th, 2024, Jacob proposed at Centennial Lakes Park, a very special place to us as we have taken numerous walks there with Rue. We celebrated by going to our favorite restaurant, even though we were both too excited to actually eat. When we got home a small group of friends and family were waiting in our kitchen to celebrate even more. Emma burst into tears from the joy and excitement! 

Every step and phase of life that we have taken together has felt so easy and so right. Through all of the ups and downs, trips, nights at home, and long walks with rue, we have built our life together and are so excited to take this next step.
